TURA: The A’chik Youth Welfare Organization (AYWO), Dainadubi Branch has appealed for the safe release of Dinarsing Syiemlieh, a Khasi coal trader who was abducted by suspected militants on December 3.
The organization also appealed to all militants to refrain from all kinds of illegal activities and to join the mainstream to ensure peace in Garo Hills as well as the state.
“We do not want communal tensions between two ethnic and peaceful communities who have been living together for ages.”
“Since peace is the need of the hour we urge you to release him safely and not to create more tensions,” the AYWO said in its message to those involved in the abduction.
