SHILLONG: In what is likely to heighten the simmering tension between the State government and the KHADC, the government on Wednesday appointed ex-MDC Irene Lyngdoh as the nominated member in the KHADC and forwarded her name to the Governor for his assent.
Earlier on Monday, ex-KHADC Judge J. Reenbohn was nominated as MDC through a resolution passed unanimously during the special session of the KHADC.
Sources said both names are currently lying with the Governor for his approval.
