Council meeting
The circle council meetings of All India Postal Employees’ Unions of P-III, P-IV, GDS (NFPE), N.E. Circle, will be held on December 19 and 20 at New Hope Restaurant Complex, IGP, opposite State Central Library, Shillong. Nongkrem legislator Ardent M. Basaiawmoit will be the chief guest at the inaugural session on Saturday at 11 AM.
NSS trekking programme
Volunteers of NSS Seng Khasi College went trekking from Umrynjah to Mawlai Mawtawar on December 18. The trekking was a part of the effort to inculcate in the youths the spirit of adventure and is also in line with the NSS theme of ‘Healthy youth for healthy India’.
Health awareness camp
A health awareness camp was organised on December 18 at Mawpat BSF campus by Composite Hospital, Meghalaya Frontier, in collaboration with Abbott Hepatic Care to create awareness amongst BSF officers, subordinate officers, jawans and their families.
Dance competition
Youth Empire Sport’s Social and Cultural Organization, Upper Mawprem, Shillong, will hold the audition for the 1st Winter Dance Competition on December 19 at 10 AM on the premises of BBS College Community Hall, Garikhana.
