Speculations rife on new CJ, Judge

SHILLONG: With the Judge of High Court of Meghalaya TNK Singh retiring on January 31 next, speculations are rife regarding the appointment of a new Judge for the High Court from Meghalaya.
The names of four senior advocates are doing the rounds as the possible replacement of Singh, sources said on Friday.
They are HS Thangkhiew,  TT Diengdoh, VGK Kynta and M Diengdoh.
Though the  Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court  Uma Nath Singh will also retire on January 14, fifteen days  prior to the retirement of  the Justice TNK Singh, there are no specific names being projected to be the successor of  the current Chief Justice .
Sources said that only the collegium will take a decision on the appointment of new Chief Justice and the new Judge.
