Cement bags missing with trucks
One Nittin Jain lodged a complaint on December 29 that on September 12 this year one truck (AS-10L-1823) loaded with 400 bags of cement from M/s Amrit Cement Ltd., Lumshnong in East Jaintia Hills was sent to Noney in Manipur, but the truck has not reached the destination.
In another complaint, Nittin Jain said that on September 30 this year one truck (AS-01-DD-1144) loaded with 420 bags of cement from M/s Amrit Cement Ltd., Lumshnong (EJH) was sent to Silchar, Assam, but the truck has not reached the destination.
One assaulted
On December 27 at around 5.30 pm, while Manik Chorai was travelling in a truck (AS-01-BC-6263), unidentified miscreants numbering around five in a Maruti car (ML-11-1034) assaulted him and looted cash Rs. 5,000 at Lad Sutnga NH-44 Road (East Jaintia Hills).
Two women injured in attack
One Throwis Lamo of Mynkrem village (West Jaintia Hills) lodged a complaint that on December 27 at around 8 pm, one Bringjoy Phai assaulted the women identified as Iaroh Khynriam and Santify Khynriam with a ‘dao’ causing injuries to the victims.
Threat
One Treibha Susngi lodged a complaint that on December 27 at around 8.30 pm, his son, Hamwis Thubru threatened him and other family members with dire consequences at Nongbah village (WJH).
Mother threatened
On December 27, one Jerly Sna threatened his mother Phyrnai Sna and other family members with dire consequences at Mupliang village (WJH).
Shop burgled
On December 26 night, unknown miscreants broke into the shop of one Milian Ryngkhlem at Mynthong, Jowai (WJH) and stole cash Rs. 50,000.
Two injured in assault
On December 25 at around 8 pm, while one Saljrang M Sangma along with Rakim D Marak and Nilbirth D Sangma were proceeding towards Rongjeng Songma (EGH) in a motorcycle, unidentified miscreants assaulted them at Nongchram Dachigittim (EGH). As a result, Rakim D Marak and Nilbirth D Sangma sustained injuries and were shifted to PHC Rongjeng.
On December 22 at around 8 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted one Poibang Snieh with a stone at Ionglwit Nongjngi village (WJH) causing injuries to him.
Loan default of over Rs 4 lakh
One Roi Chyrmang of Jalaphet village (EJH) lodged a complaint that on October 14 this year one Samsul Haque took a loan of Rs. 4,26,000 from the complainant with a promise to return the same on November 17, 2015, but has failed to do so.
