Bodies recovered
On January 3, body of one Kwin Passah was recovered from Langdung Sookhlieh village (WJH).
On January 1 at around 9 am, one unidentified male body was recovered from a paddy field at Dilsadareng village (SGH).
Thefts
Mary Chettri lodged a complaint that on January 2 at around 5 pm that one lady stole her mobile phone from her residence at Kharmalki, Shillong.
Subrata Dutta lodged a complaint that on the night of January 2, unknown miscreants broke into his house at Upper Lachumiere, Shillong and stole two TV sets, two mobile phones and a laptop.
On January 1 at around 11.30 am, unknown miscreants broke open the house of Rev. Alpha Marak at Dilma A’pal village (NGH) and stole one laptop and Rs. 800.
Nidamon Shullet lodged a complaint that on January 1 at around 2 pm, one person in a Maruti Gypsy (ML-04A-1892) stole goods valued around Rs. 39,500 from a dumper truck (ML-04B-2789) at Pyntei village (WJH).
Tynjuhbor Sawkmie lodged a complaint that on December 31 at around 4 pm, three persons stole Rs. 50,000 from his residence at Laitkor (EKH).
C. Zorinkima lodged a complaint that on December 31 at around 8 pm, unknown miscreants stole his mobile phone from a barber shop at Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
Lee Trevor Sheffield Bareh of Lachumiere, Shillong lodged a complaint that on December 26 at around 9 pm, unknown miscreants stole his mobile phone from his vehicle.
NGT order violation
On December 29 at around 3 am, police detected a truck (AS-11-AC-7088) driven by one Md. Safis Uddin while transporting coal in violation of NGT order, at Ratacherra (EJH).
Allegation
On December 28 at around 6.30 pm, one Glaston .D. Shira and other residents of Dabit Bolong A’ding village (SGH), appeared at Baghmara PS and produced one person alleging him of committing cattle theft.
Firecrackers seized
On December 24, police accompanied by executive magistrate, recovered huge quantity of high decibel banned firecrackers from the godown belonging to Natu Sarkar and Mintu Sarkar at Beldapara, Tura (WGH).
Man threatened
On December 24 at around 2 am, one Changke .A. Sangma threatened Crinathson .A. Sangma of Te’bronggre village (WGH) and his family members over phone with dire consequences.
Accidents
On December 21, one pick-up vehicle (AS-18-3652) dashed against one motorcycle (ML-08C-8877) ridden by Md. Sajdul Islam at Bangtimari village (WGH). As a result, one pillion rider namely, Abdul Ali sustained injuries and was admitted at GMC Hospital, Guwahati.
On December 17 at around 2.30 pm, a truck (AS-01-CC-7876) dashed against one Alfa Plus vehicle (A/F) driven by Nipam Ramchiary at Umtyra (EJH) causing injuries to the driver of Alfa Plus vehicle.
