Pressure groups demand fresh exam for LDAs in EJH

SHILLONG: Two pressure groups have asked the East Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner to conduct fresh examinations for the posts of Lower Divisional Assistants in East Jaintia Hills district as only one person cleared the examination out of 50 candidates appeared for as many as 23 posts of LDAs.
The examination was conducted by the District Selection Committee (DSC).
The East Jaintia National Council and the Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement have sought the intervention of the Deputy Commissioner, who is the chairman of DSC, for conducting fresh examination.
The pressure groups also wanted the Deputy Commissioner to come clear on the matter within 10 days.
