NONGSTOIN: KSU president, Rambrai Circle, Pynskhemlang Nongshlong on Wednesday applied for HSPDP ticket to contest  the upcoming district council election from Rambrai Constituency.
The MDC seat from Rambrai has been lying vacant following  the resignation of K.P.Pangniang as MDC for holding  dual post.
Pynskhem Nongshlong was a social activist and a KSU leader from Rambrai. In 2012 Pynskhem was also involved in the boundary imbroglio between Meghalaya and Assam where he started his fast-unto-death at Langpih.
He suspended the agitation when the state government finally agreed to look into the matter.
“People of Rambrai constituency have asked me to contest the upcoming ADC election as they believe that I would be able to work for them”, Nongshlong said.
