Two killed in road mishap

SHILLONG:  Two persons were killed on the spot and two other sustained injuries when the car in which they were travelling met with an accident at Shillong Bye pass  under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills district on Thursday morning.
The ill fated case, proceeding towards Jowai, was first hit from behind by a giant twelve wheeler truck and due to the impact of the collision, it collided with the dumper coming from the opposite direction. The driver of the Alto 800 along with another occupant sitting in the front seat sustained injuries, while two other occupants Starbor Shadap (53) and Brington Synnah (48) sitting in the back seat died on the spot.
