Police rescue kidnapped child

TURA: Garo Hills police with the help of neighbouring Assam on Friday successfully rescued a child who was kidnapped by a gang from Mendipather area of North Garo Hills.
North Garo Hills police with support from Assam police raided a hideout of the kidnappers gang and rescued 11- year-old Mustaqfizul Rahman who was abducted from New Colony in Mendipather on January 6. The kingpin of the abduction Biswajit Adhikary was also arrested in the raid and operations on both sides of the inter-state border are continuing to nab the rest of the gang who fled after seeing the police arrive at their hideout.
