SHILLONG:  The youth body of BJP, Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha, (BJYM) has demanded the resignation of Urban Affairs Minister whose name figured in the CBI report for giving permission as Chairperson of MUDA to construct buildings beyond the permissible limit of ground floor plus three more floors.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the BJYM, while asking Lyngdoh to step down, said that the state government should allow a fresh face to hold the Urban Affairs portfolio.
“We demand that the Urban Affairs department should be handed over to an able person,” BJYM president Eugene Kurkalang said.
