Shillong: The Chefs de Mission of all eight participating nations of the 12th South Asian Games 2016 undertook a tour of the five confirmed venues here on Wednesday morning.
Accompanied by South Asian Games (Shillong) Organising Committee CEO RK Sharma, Joint CEO FR Kharkongor, Special Advisor RK Sacheti and other senior officials, the Chefs de Mission visited First Ground, Polo, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Hall, SAI Special Area Games, NEHU, and NEIGRIHMS Indoor Stadium.
Sharma said that the Chefs de Mission were happy with the accommodation, security and details of the cultural events lined up for the Games. He added that as far as the field of play (FOP) is concerned, Shillong is ready to host the tournament, with only the surroundings requiring a little further development, which will be completed soon.

The Chefs de Mission will now report back to their respective national bodies ahead of the February 5-16 South Asian Games.
