Action star Sylvester Stallone, who won the Golden Globe for best performance by an actor in a supporting role for Creed, says his role in the film was inspired by his relationship with his real-life son. Sylvester, 69, expressed surprise about winning the award over other Hollywood heavy-hitters such as Idris Elba (Beasts of No Nation), Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies), Michael Shannon (99 Homes) and Paul Dano (Love & Mercy), reported Us magazine. “… To be frank, any time you can vent emotions that are real, I think it’s very, very helpful. Most importantly I wanted to respect his (son’s) memory, and I think we did.” Sage, the eldest son of Sylvester and Sasha Czack, was found dead in his Studio City, Los Angeles home in 2012. (PTI)
