Shillong: Lumbatngen beat Lumdiengjri by 8 wickets in the league match of the First Division LG Shillong Cricket Tournament organised by the Shillong Cricket Association at the SCA Cricket Ground, Polo on Thursday.
Being put into bat Lumdiengjri were all out for 128 runs in 29.3 overs. Sharailang Lamare scored 42 runs off 42 balls and Wallam Lyngdoh scored 18 runs off 17 balls. For Lumbatngen Bijit Ghosh took 4 wickets for 16 runs and M.D. Kitabbuddin took 2 wickets for 11 runs.
In reply, Lumbatngen reached the target 129 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 23.2 overs. L.K Kohmanrhing remained unbeaten 50 runs off 56 balls and Deepak Purkayastha scored 31 runs off 46 balls. For Lumdiengjri Marcos Bhujel claimed 1 wicket for 17 runs.
