NONGSTOIN: Nongstoin MLA Diosstarness Jyndiang was elected as the president of HSPDP’s West Khasi Hills unit during a general meeting of the party here on Friday. Jyndiang replaces Nongstoin MDC, who left the party recently.
HSPDP president Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting Standly Kharbani was elected as the HSPDP’s youth wing president for the district while Phull Wanniang was named the general secretary.
Meanwhile, the party claimed that it is still strong in Nongstoin even though former president of the unit, L.G Nongsiej was no longer a part of the party.
The HSPDP also clarified that Nongsiej left the party on his own.
