SHILLONG: The Pasteur Institute on Sunday confirmed the claim of the KHNAM Youth Wing that the PHE supplied drinking water is acidic.
“We labeled the sample with a number and the source of the sample is recorded to be from the clear water storage from 4 ½ Mile, Upper Shillong, where the pH level is found to be 5.7 which is slightly acidic. The sample was received on January 6,” a functionary of the Pasteur Institute told The Shillong Times over phone on Sunday.
