Sonia, Rahul express confidence on Tuki govt

Itanagar: Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi have expressed confidence in Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki-led state government.
Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Padi Richo called on AICC president and vice-president in Delhi, on Thursday and apprised both the leaders about present political situation of the state. Both the leaders advised him to strengthen the party and support the state government for effective implementation of various developmental programmes to benefit the masses, informed APCC release here on Friday.
The vice-president specifically called for ensuring implementation of 2014 Congress election manifesto in letter and spirit, Richo assured to act accordingly. The Congress rank and file are contributing towards the success of the state government initiated development as the party cadres are united eight up to the grassroots level, it said.
The party high command urged Mr Richo to prevail upon elected Congress representatives of the party at all levels to work towards meeting the aspirations of the people who have voted them to power.
AICC Arunachal in-charge V Narayanasamy was also present during the meeting, it added. (UNI)
