NCP Mahila leader visits city

SHILLONG: The president of Nationalist Mahila Congress (NCP) Fauzia Khan along with many central leaders of the party visited Shillong on Monday.
During the visit, she held meetings with the mahila and state office bearers and expressed her happiness with the functioning of the party in the state.
However, she wanted party expansion and asked the mahilas in Shillong to join NCP as it has great vision for mahila and party is keen to expand its base in North East.
She also stressed that mahila units should be formed in every district and asked the state party president Sanbor Shullai to revamp the National Mahila Congress, Meghalaya unit and hold elections at the earliest. Later, she left for Arunachal Pradesh.
