State to observe two-minute silence on Saturday

SHILLONG: A two- minute silence will be observed across the State from 11 am on Saturday in memory of those who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for India’s freedom.
The Under Secretary, GAD said that all movement should be stopped during the two minutes, the commencement and termination of which will be marked by sound of sirens. Army guns will be used to alert people in areas with no sirens.
