SHILLONG: In yet another dominating display, Royal Wahingdoh FC beat Rangdajied United FC 5-1 in the U-15 Youth League at the Madan Heh Stadium in Mawlai on Friday. Rheadolf Nongneng scored the first of the five goals of a set piece (penalty) in the 25th minute. Santosh Singh doubled the lead in the 38th minute with Rheadolf scoring a brace the next minute to ensure that the hosts go into the break with a 3-0 advantage. Crossing over Rickyson spelt double trouble for Rangdajied striking twice in Another cakewalk for Royals U-15 Youth League a span of two minutes to virtually take the game away from the opponents. Rickyson struck in the 49th minute and before the rivals could settle down, slammed in another one home much to the joy of the handful of Royal supporters present at the venue. Rangdajied did score a consolation goal of penalty at the fag end of the tie, but that was hardly enough to change their fortunes. The Royals, who have already qualified for the final round of the event, amassed 25 points of none games and are sitting pretty at the top of the table in the Shillong-Guwahati zone.
