Palanpur (Gujarat): A class XII student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in his school premises in Soni village in Banaskatha district on Saturday, police said.
The deceased was identified as Haresh Nai, a student at Sri TV Patel High school at the village. The family members immediately informed the police, who rushed him to a hospital. However, doctors declared him brought dead. Police said a suicide note was recovered from his bag, in which he has said he was taking the extreme step due to his poor academic results. However, police said they are yet to ascertain the exact reason behind the incident. (PTI)
