Officers promoted to IAS rank

SHILLONG: Four Meghalaya Civil Service officers have been nominated to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) by the Centre.
As per a recent notification, Director of Fisheries, Iona R Sangma, South Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Shella N. Marak, Labour Commissioner Merrylin Nellie Nampui and Secretary, MPSC, Ryntihlang Rap have been appointed to the Indian Administrative Service against vacancies for the year 2014 as determined by the Centre and in consultation with the State government.
