Overground workers of Garo outfit arrested

NONGSTOIN: Police personnel from the Aradonga outpost apprehended three suspected overground workers of United Garo Security Force (UGSF) from Mawram in West Khasi Hills on Sunday.
The three, held in connection with the abduction of one Darius Marngar of Nongthymai village under Aradonga OP, have been identified as Jholsh G Momin (25) of Resu Radi, North Garo Hills, Walmen G Momin (25) of Dingoapal Bajong, North Garo Hills and Sengman R.Marak (25) from Nongrisan.
WKH SP, S.Nongtnger told media persons that the trio was involved in the kidnapping of Marngar on January 13. Marngar was rescued by police on January 15 during an encounter with the miscreants in which one Phidorit Nianglang, a UGSF cadre was shot dead.
