Solar street light batteries stolen

SHILLONG: Solar LED street lights put up at Lum Survey were rendered ineffective after the power box containing the battery and controller was found detached from the lights. The battery and controller were allegedly stolen by miscreants.
The State has, through the Green City Project (GCP), erected around 378 street lights for the benefit of the people.
