U-18 I-League: Royals pip East Bengal

SHILLONG: A 82nd minute goal by Narayan Chettri ensured that Royal Wahingdoh FC register their first win of the final stage U-18 I-League beating East Bengal in Kolkata on Sunday. The Royals were held to a 1-1 draw in the first match of the round by Aizawl FC. After Sunday’s win the Royals are placed third in the standings with 4 points from 2 matches behind leaders Salgaocar and Aizawl FC. RWFC will play Pune FC on February 2. Royal Wahingdoh FC had romped into the final round of the U-18 I-League after winning six of their eight matches while the remaining two games ended in draws.
