SHILLONG: A yoga instructor of the city based Sri Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture has been arrested on charge of allegedly molesting a minor girl who used to undergo yoga training in the Institute.
According to police sources, the yoga instructor identified as Malay Mandal was arrested following an FIR lodged by the parents of the minor on Friday.Police had sought for and obtained six days’ custody of the accused.When contacted on Sunday, a functionary of the Institute said the allegation against the yoga teacher was only aimed at maligning the name of the Institute.
