Cement laden truck missing
Kanyalal Sharma of M/s Adhunik Cement Ltd., Lumshnong (EJH) lodged a complaint that on Dec. 24, 2015, one truck (AS-01DD-5211) loaded with 22 MT of cement left Lumshnong for Cachar, Assam. However, the truck has not reached its destination till date.
Accident
On February 2, one vehicle (ML-05L-8003) knocked down Naresh Rai (26) near NEEPCO, Shillong causing injuries to him.
On Feb. 1 around 6 pm, one vehicle (number not known) knocked down a minor boy Wanpynlaitlang Kharsyntiew (10) at Weiloi, Mawsynram (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Shillong Civil Hospital.
Theft
On Jan. 31 night, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Gauri Shah at Thembasuk, Madanrting, Shillong, and stole one TV set, twelve pieces of water taps and other household materials valued around Rs. 40,000.
On Jan. 30 night, unknown miscreants stole 2,000 rubber sheets valued around Rs. 1,10,000 belonging to Sobi Sebastian from a strong room at 9th Mile, Baridua (RB).
On Jan. 29, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Balahunlin Nongrum at Pohkseh East, Shillong and stole Rs. 42,000.
On Jan. 27 around 11 am, unknown miscreants stole one laptop computer from the house of P. Jain at Malki, Shillong.
On Jan. 26, unknown miscreants stole five radio signal units from a mobile tower of M/s Reliance Telecommunications at Nongrah, Shillong.
Truck stolen
On Feb. 1 evening, unknown miscreants stole one truck (NL-01K-3032) from 14th Mile, Byrnihat (RB).
Assault
On Feb. 1 around 7.30 pm, one Synraa Mukhim assaulted his brother namely, Letswell Mukhim (46) at Mawlein village under Madanrting PS (EKH). As a result, victim sustained injuries and was removed to Shillong Civil Hospital.
Md. Abdul Mojid lodged a complaint that on Jan. 28 around 11.45 AM, five persons – Eyasuddin Sheikh, Romjan Ali and Hasibur Islam and two others – assaulted the complainant with iron rods in his residence at Garodubi village (WGH) causing injuries to him.
