Traffic regulations for SAG from today

SHILLONG: In connection with the upcoming 12th South Asian Games, Police have made new traffic arrangements with effect from February 3.
The directive said vehicles will not be allowed to come from Golf Link Junction towards Polo. Vehicles coming from Mawroh, Shyiap will take the route towards Nongmynsong to 4th Furlong. Vehicle coming from MPRO/Golf Club will take the route from Dog Squad towards Nongmynsong and proceed towards 4th Furlong.
Vehicles coming from Mawlai and FCI side will take the Mawroh Road towards Golf Link to Nongmynsong and 4thFurlong. Vehicles coming from Lumgjingshai and Forest Colony will take the road towards Lawmali to Polo. However, vehicles going towards Ganesh Das Hospital, Lawmali and Jaiaw will be allowed to proceed via Lumjingshai towards Ganesh Das Hospital Junction. Vehicles coming from 4th Furlong will have to proceed towards Forest Colony via Buddha Mandir to reach Ganesh Das.
Trucks will not be allowed to enter Shillong between 8 AM and 10 PM, to ensure smooth flow of traffic to the different Games venues, police added.
