TURA: The inconvenience caused by the daily checking of vehicles by the Tura police has irked many people of the town who have begun to question the legality of the whole exercise suspecting that the same is being done merely for the sake of fines.
The daily checking which is being carried out only on two wheelers is being done from 10 AM to 5 PM at various locations of the town.
While the people appreciated the concern for the safety of two wheeler users, they questioned if the police department had the right to check necessary documents without the permission of the Motor Vehicle Department.
