SHILLONG: Sapna Devi bagged a gold medal for India in the women’s Wushu Taulu (Changquan) competition at the 12th South Asian Games at Rising Sun Sports Complex in Assam Rifles, here on Sunday.
Sapna Devi scored 9.45 points tro emerge triumphant while Susmita Tamang of Nepal with a score of 8.72 bagged the Silver. The bronze medal went to Pakistan’s Nazia Parvaiz with a score of 6:30 points.
In the men’s competition, India’s Anjul Namdeo settled for a Bronze scoring 8.66 points. Sri Lanka’s P. L. H. Lakshan with a score of 8:86 won Gold while Bijay Sinjali of Nepal with a score of 8:80 points earned the Silver.
