SHILLONG: Gone are the days when Indian shuttlers were considered pushovers. “During my playing days, India were considered as one of the easier opponents. But Gopi (P Gopichand) has done a great job with the team, making India a powerhouse,” India’s Malaysian doubles coach Tan Kim Her said following India’s victory over Sri Lanka in the men’s and women’s team events at NEHU, SAI Special Area Games on Monday. Tan Kim Her, who was roped in during September last, said India has a good crop of young doubles players and his job lies in only guiding them.
