Coal ministry official visits state

SHILLONG: The joint secretary, union ministry of coal RP Gupta visited coal mining areas of the state recently.An official source said on Wednesday that the visit was aimed at assessing the ground reality in the coal mining areas. The source added that after the state government submitted the mining plan to the coal ministry as desired by NGT for approval, the ministry wanted re-writing of the report for further submission, before giving final nod.
