Wanted LAEF cadre behind kidnappings held

Tura: A long time cadre of the Garo outfit Liberation of A’chik Elite Force (LAEF) who orchestrated several kidnappings in East Garo Hills has been arrested after police raided his house on Friday morning.
LAEF cadre Rosthon N Marak alias Kimjim was taking refuge at his home in Samanda Kalsanang Adinggittim village when police raided the house and arrested him.
The arrested cadre belonged to the LAEF faction headed by one Augustine and at one point of time was behind several kidnappings of traders and businessmen including a coal dealer.
Police had been on the trail of the fugitive Rosthon for quite a while but he had managed to slip away in previous instances.
