SHILLONG: East Garo Hills Police on Saturday recovered two decomposed bodies from a culvert at the newly built national highway in Samanda in the district.
East Garo Hills Superintendent of Police, Davis N.R. Marak said that the bodies were discovered when some women had gone to collect firewood in the area.
He said that it was not clear as to who killed the two but their hands were tied and it seems that both the people were lynched or beaten up badly.
Necessary formalities have been observed and the cadavers were shifted to Civil Hospital Williamnagar for post mortem examination.
