SHILLONG: An inaugural thanksgiving function was held at the conference hall of Moreau Institute of Integral Training and Research Society (MIIT) to acknowledge gratitude to patrons, benefactors, collaborators and students of IndiaCan Shillong Coaching Centre.
Present at the function were Shillong MP Vincent Pala, East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Peter Dkhar and East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Cyril Diengdoh among others.
Situated at the Fathers of Holy Cross, Brookdene the vision of MIIT is to create “Empowered leaders who can empower others”.
When Shillong MP, Vincent Pala invited MIIT to undertake a new venture of mediating the ETEN IAS ALS coaching on behalf of the youngsters of Shillong, MIIT responded with enthusiasm.
“We are grateful to IndiaCan Education Foundation and the Alternative Learning Systems whose genius it was to think of this V-Sat enabled coaching network with an outstanding faculty,” said the Director of MIIT.
IndiaCan Shillong Centre currently has 105 students undergoing coaching.
The Director expressed the indebtedness of MIIT to the deputy commissioners of East Khasi Hills and East Garo Hills for their whole-hearted support including the sponsorship of candidates, 38 by East Khasi Hills District and 11 by the East Garo Hills District.
After the brief inaugural thanksgiving function, a student-faculty interaction session between IndiaCan Shillong students and the ETEN IAS ALS faculty represented by Manav Agarwal and Imdong Anar from ETEN IAS, and Jojo Mathews and Manish Gautam from the renowned ALS faculty was held.
