SHILLONG: An over ground worker of the GNLA who had given Chokpot police a slip a few days back was arrested by BSF troops at Rajapara, South West Khasi Hills late Friday night.
The BSF troops deployed at Rajapara apprehended the GNLA over ground worker identified as Job D Shira “in a special ambush.” During frisking two mobile phones with one Indian SIM card was recovered from his possession.
He has been serving GNLA demand notes to victims since 2010.
South West Khasi Hills SP Herbert Lyngdoh said that on the leading of Job D Shira, his accomplice Bon N Marak was also picked up for interrogation. He also said that there are also indications that Shira was recruiting for the GNLA.
