Duo charged with obstructing police

SHILLONG: Police have filed an FIR against two persons for allegedly obstructing cops on duty from conducting an enquiry in connection with a kidnapping case in the city.
Sub Inspector N. Koch of Shillong Sadar police station lodged a complaint that on February 21, one Nipesh Paul and Swapna Paul obstructed him and unarmed branch constable, R. Lyttan while they were conducting enquiry in connection with a kidnapping case at Harisabha in Laban.
Police also said that the duo helped the accused Vicky Paul to escape.
