Labour Union to observe ‘black day’ on March 4

The Union will also submit a reminder to the authorities giving one month to consider the grievances of the workers as they have been denied various facilities by the State government for years.
If the concerned department fails to consider the grievances within the stipulated time, the workers will be compelled to resort to agitation or move the court of law, adviser of the Garo Hills PWD Labour Union, K.C. Boro, said on Thursday.
12 years ago, the Union had won a case in the erstwhile Shillong Bench of the Gauhati High Court, but the department disregarded the order of the Court, Boro alleged.
