Discover Jaintia attracts hundreds

JOWAI: The Discover Jaintia Festival at Tuberkmai Shnong attracted hundreds of people from across Jaintia Hills on Friday. The Festival at a place called Sniriang, near the sacred grove of Tuberkmai shnong village include Jaintia Cultural Extravaganza, para gliding activities, exhibition cum sales of local products and food festival. The musical evening at District Library Auditorium, Jowai also attracted hundreds of music lovers.
The musical evening was christened ‘Yesterday once more’. Singers who were recognized by the AIR including Shandalang Talang, retired AIDPR officer, Phyrnai Marbaniang, Phomlin Lytan and his son, Bari Mawthoh presented their various numbers at the musical evening. National Icon elected by the Election Commission of India, Headingson Ryntathiang was also present in the events.
