BSF Apprehends two Indian liquor smugglers

Thekmanpara (GH): The BSF troops deployed at Chichingpara, West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya intercepted an auto rickshaw with two Indian liquor smugglers namely Arwith R Marak (35) and Dipak Koch (28) on NH-51 near Thekmanpara village while coming from Dalu and seized 108 bottles liquor, two mobile phones and Indian currency Rs 13000, along with auto rickshaws.
BSF troops are keeping a regular vigil to foil any such attempt and have succeeded to make arrest of nefarious Indian liquor smugglers with liquor.
BSF party had laid mobile check post after receiving a tip off.
The border security has stepped up its special drive against the smugglers and has intensified its operations on the Indo-Bangladesh Border to prevent nefarious design of trans-border criminal to maintain tranquillity in bordering areas of Meghalaya.
Apprehended persons along with seized items were handed over to concerned department for further legal actions.
