TURA: Lok Sabha member from Nagaland and former Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio recalled with sadness the last meeting with P A Sangma just a day before the latter’s sudden death in Delhi.
“We had just finished the Parliament session on Thursday afternoon and I was leaving the house when I met up with him in the corridors of the Lok Sabha. I told him I was leaving for Nagaland to which he said that he was also going out of Delhi. So we decided to meet up again on Monday. What a tragedy,” a grief stricken Rio said as he stood by the casket of his friend and political mentor in Tura on the very same day they were to have met up in Delhi.
