New BSF Inspector General assumes charge

SHILLONG: P.K. Dubey has taken over charge as Inspector General, Border Security Force, Meghalaya Frontier, at Shillong on Monday.
Dubey is a recipient of the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service and President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service besides a number of Director General’s commendation rolls.
The officer also has experience of serving in the prestigious National Security Guard (NSG) as Group Commander.
After taking over charge as IG of Meghalaya Frontier, Dubey emphasized on use of technology for effective border management in order to prevent and curb trans-border crimes, maintaining cordial relations with the border population, respecting human rights, and welfare of the troops.
