Three held for theft at SHG SPTS office

SHILLONG: Police have arrested three persons in connection with two cases of theft of cash worth lakhs of rupees from the office of Synroplang Self Help Group, SPTS office, Mawpat, on January 21 last year and again on November 21 last year.
Police first arrested Sunil Chettri of Polo, Shillong and Subroto Badhya of Pynthorbah, Shillong in connection with the theft of Rs 5,36,000 from the SHG SPTS office at Mawpat last year.
The same day, personnel from the Nongmynsong outpost arrested one Shamol Ali who is said to be involved in the theft of Rs 6 lakh from the same office on November 21 last year.
