Nagaland CM appeals for peace in Shamator area

Kohima: Nagaland Chief Minister T R Zeliang on Tuesday urged the people to maintain peace and tranquility in Shamator area under Tuensang district, stating that peace is a necessity for all round development. Inaugurating the Shamator town council, held at the Shamator head quarters here, Zeliang appealed to all leaders to be more responsible in setting up the Shamator town and said through this inauguration, Shamator has gone one step ahead in bringing more development. He appealed to the public that the town council is given to the people in order to govern its own town and therefore, its citizens should contribute a positive role in the process. Besides, Zeliang, Minister of RD and REPA C L John was present on the occasion. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly-constructed ADC office complex and town council office, Shamator.
