Pak team to land in Delhi today

Karachi: The Pakistan World T20 squad is all set to leave for New Delhi from Lahore on Wednesday afternoon despite prevailing uncertainty over security clearance being given to the team to travel to India for the mega-event.Sources in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that all the players and officials in the World T20 squad even those belonging to outstation cities have been instructed to report at the National Cricket Academy by Tuesday night.”The players and officials have been told to be present and ready at the NCA early Wednesday morning where the PCB chairman (Shaharyar Khan) will meet them and they will than depart for the airport to catch a flight to the Indian capital,” PCB source told PTI on Tuesday.Pakistan team is scheduled to fly to Kolkata where they would have their Open Media Session and a warm-up game against the West Indies before leaving for Dharamsala.Although the Pakistan government is yet to officially announce that the Pakistan team has been cleared to go to India but the source said that the PCB had been told unofficially their tour was on. The Pakistan security delegation in India since Monday has also visited Dharamsala and met with concerned security officials and those of the BCCI.
“The security delegation in its feedback to the interior ministry has given clearance and said they are satisfied with the security arrangements for the Pakistan team,” the source said. (PTI)
