Shillong Trade Fair attracting huge crowd

SHILLONG: The 17th edition of International Shillong Trade Fair (ISTF) has been attracting huge crowd since its opening on March 2 last.
The organising committee this year is offering ten very attractive prizes along with foreign goods and international food festival at Madan Iew Rynghep, Laitumkhrah from March 2 to 15. Titled as Dus Ka Dum, the ten prizes will include a very beautiful Renault Kwid car along with a sofa set, laptop, LED TV, mobile phone, microwave oven, sewing machine and many others in the lucky draw of entry tickets.
Maximum number of foreign participants will showcase their products in the fair. Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, South Africa, Pakistan and many other countries will vie with each other to prove their supremacy, subsequently offering an array of products ranging from garments, handicrafts, cosmetics, onyx marble, ceramics, melamine, gems and jewellery, ladies bags, artificial flowers, ladies footwear, decorative pieces and many other attractive products to the visitors. Ministry of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh under the umbrella of EPB has participated in the fair with a number of renowned companies from the neighbouring country.
The 17th International Shillong Trade Fair is organised by Industries and Trade Fair Association of Assam in association with Government of Meghalaya and National Small Industries Corporation Limited, Government of India.
