The annual celebration of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Cherrapunjee (Sohra) will be held on March 12 at 2 pm. Governor V. Shanmuganathan will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Death condoled
The NCP, in an emergency condolence meeting held at the party’s Kench’s Trace expressed sorrow over the untimely demise of Ratan Gurung, the president of Jhalupara unit of the party on March 7.
Memorial

Lok Adalat

Sec 144
The Sub Divisional Magistrate, Sohra Civil Sub Division, Sohra has promulgated an order under section 144 CrPC prohibiting all heavy vehicles (trucks/lorries) carrying goods and stones between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM along the Sohra -Shillong road from both ways. This order shall come into force with immediate effect up to a period of 6 (six) months or until further orders.
