Two apprehended
SHILLONG: Shillong police has arrested two persons along with suspected heroin.
On March 9, Police arrested two persons namely, Wanboklang L Nongbri and Arjun Thapa from near Military Hospital, Shillong and from their possession recovered six paper-wraps containing yellow-orange powder (0.13 grams) suspected to be Heroin.
Two wheeler stolen
SHILLONG: On March 9 around 4.30 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (Ml-05L-2847) belonging to Christopher R Marak from Hawakhana, Tura (WGH).
Diesel stolen
SHILLONG: On March 7 around 6 pm, one Mukesh Bharchi stole forty liters of Diesel from a vehicle (ML-09A-8206) belonging to Vijay Kumar Singh, Senior Engineer, BSC C&C JV Company at Sohiong Bye-pass (EKH).
Duped
SHILLONG: One B. Rymbai lodged a complaint that on March 6, one Warimo Rymbai identified himself as an officer from DRDA, Meghalaya and cheated Rs. 21,000 from three women all from Rymbai village (EJH) with a promise to provide them with a scheme of Rs. 1 lakhs after one year.
Abducted and raped
On March 10, a person lodged a complaint that one Newmoonstar Marthong abducted and raped one woman at Nonglait village (WKH).
Accident
On March 12, one Maruti Alto K-10 (ML-05L-7540 driven by Bimal Deb (35) dashed against a guard wall and capsized at Mawlai Iewrynghep, Shillong.
On March 11 at about 11.45 am, one Bolero pick-up (number not known) knocked down Aiyani Sangma (18) near Warima village (South Garo Hills). Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Chokpot and later referred to CH Tura.
On March 10 at about 11 am, one Mahindra pick-up vehicle (ML-08A-0923) met with an accident at Thapa Darengchi (North Garo Hills).
Theft
Korlinda Langstieh lodged a complaint that on March 11, one Hilarious Siangshai broke into a shop at MICASA Hotel premises, Shillong and forced stole belongings including cash, etc.
On the night of March 4, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (AS-01-7295) belonging to Raju N Sangma from his residence at Amagaon village (West Khasi Hills).
On March 9 midnight, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (MH-04KA-8018) belonging to Ganesh Chettri from his residence at Khliehriat East (East Jaintia Hills).
Threatened
On March 12 one Md. Noor Ahmed lodged a complaint that on February 27, one Therbor Rymbai went to his shop at Lad Rymbai (East Jaintia Hills) and asked him to pay the loan amounting to Rs. 12,50,000 [which he did not take] within thirteen days and threatened him with dire consequences, if he refuse to pay the same.
Assault
On March 11 around 7.45 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted Jefferson Kharjana (18) near MECOFED, Mawiong, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital Shillong.
