‘IEDs planted all over Durama Hills’

SHILLONG: Home Minister Roshan Warjri on Monday revealed that the security personnel have to tread cautiously during the ongoing Operation Hillstorm-3 as recently the suspected GNLA militants had planted IEDs all over Durama Hills.
Replying to a cut motion moved by the Opposition members against fund allotment to purchase arms and ammunition and vehicles, the Home Minister said in the Assembly that to check the advancing security personnel to Durama Hills, the militants had planted several IEDs there.
“Police had recovered as many as 70 IEDs”, the Home Minister said, while adding that the sustained operations by the security personnel will continue.
