Mobile stolen
On March 17 between 10 am & 12 noon, unknown miscreants stole one cell phone belonging to Yousel Sherab from the premises of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
Man knocked down
On March 17 at around 11 pm, one vehicle (number not known) knocked down Wanlamkupar Nongkhlaw (18 yrs) at 7th Mile, Upper Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Nazareth Hospital, Shillong.
Unidentified person dies  
On March 15, one unidentified person was found lying near MTC Building at Police Bazar, Shillong. He was shifted to CH Shillong where he died on March 17.
NGT order violation
On March 15, police detected two persons namely,  Paka Tlang and Jam Lamo extracting coal in violation of NGT order from a quarry at Umshong village (EJH).
 Laptop stolen
On March 14, unknown miscreants stole one laptop computer belonging to Bikram Chettri from his residence at Demseiniong, Shillong.
Mobile tower batteries stolen
Chandra Kumar Rai lodged a complaint that between March 6 and 12, unknown miscreants stole forty-eight batteries from a mobile tower at Sidakandi village under Rajabala OP (WGH).
Person duped of more than Rs. 12 lakh
Therbor Rymbai of Ladrymbai Datsympein village (EJH) lodged a complaint that in the year 2014, one Md. Wasin of Karimganj District, Assam took a loan amounting to Rs. 12,30,000 from him. On March 11, 2016, the complainant called him over phone regarding the loan, but was threatened with dire consequences.
Motorcysle stolen
Pollin Ch Hajong lodged a complaint on March 16  that on February 28, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-08C-8807) from A’konggre, Tura (WGH).
